Appeal to Help Haitians after Hurricane Gustav

Haiti has been devastated by Hurricane Gustav. According to Haiti's National Director of Civil Protection, 76 people died as a result of the hurricane. Some 2,100 houses were destroyed and another 8,150 damaged. An estimated 7,200 people are now living in temporary shelters, including churches, community centers and schools. They need our help!

IRFF is partnering with Women’s Federation for World Peace in Florida and Christian Disaster Response to collect basic health kits to be shipped, together with dry goods already on hand, to Haiti. IRFF staff in Haiti will distribute the relief items to those most in need.

Your financial support is needed to deliver aid to Haitians. Checks made out to IRFF may be sent to 39 N. Jefferson Rd., Red Hook, NY 12571 USA. Donations may also be made online.
