A social impact project was held in the city of Itapecerica da Serra, São Paulo, on November 23. Approximately 50 people participated, including representatives from different associations and churches in the region: Assembly of God, Itapecerica Family Federation, the Collegiate Association for the Research of Principle-Brazil, and the city hall.
It was an important opportunity to show the community the importance of the Global Peace Festival and social service as a way to achieve a culture of peace through the motto: “One Family under God”.
We began with a speech about the Global Peace Festival with its theme of one family under God. Afterward, everyone walked walked along avenue towards the central plaza of the city, cleaning as we went.
People from different ages, denominations, races, and nationalities united their strength under the same motto “One Family under God.” Some of the participants commented that they experienced a culture of brotherhood and solidarity as they worked together.
We closed with a general cleaning of the central square and some words from the organizers, thanking the participants and explaining the project to the people in the plaza.
