Novosibirsk, Russia - UPF-Siberia together with Women’s Initiative Creative Association, organized and carried out the volunteer action “Clean Windows – Clean Hearts” on Nov. 4, 2011. Young people visited elderly people, talked to them, and helped them to prepare for the coming winter by washing windows. A special advisory agency was opened for older people to receive answers on legal and home problems over the telephone. On the last day of the decade, a performance took place at the Resource Center of the Zheleznodorozhny district. Volunteers, including students of the State Conservatory and the School of Arts, sang songs from older times. Young people gave each veteran a half kilo of honey as a gift.
