Riga, Latvia - Volunteers of UPF-Latvia and their contacts conducted a one-day service project in an orphanage outside Riga, the capital of Latvia on April 14. In the dire situation of the local children’s home that suffered damage from fire, volunteers worked hard cleaning, repairing furniture, and restoring the place the best way possible. The 21 participants, mostly young people, worked together with the hope that place could be re-opened in the summer to serve the community.
Their volunteer help was met with great appreciation on the part of the administration, and there are prospects for future cooperation in different projects.
