Vladivostok, Russia - One of the legendary peaks in the Primorye Territory is Mount Livadia (also known as Pidan), a popular recreation area in the Russian Far East. It is well known that thousands of tourists who visit it each year carelessly treat the natural beauty that they enjoyed during their time of recreation in this mountainous area near Vladivostok.

Convinced that real owners are those who love nature and lovingly take care of it, the youth movement “Patriots of Primorye” and UPF organized a joint project “Beauty and Restoration of Nature in the Primorye Territory is in the Hands of Youth.” On April 21 and 22, 2012, they cleaned one slope of the mountain, emptied a garbage box on the left slope of the peak, and made the surroundings more orderly.
Armed with spades and trash bags, 12 brave youths went into the taiga to demonstrate by example the proper attitude towards nature by making it beautiful and clean. Vladimir Kuzmin, an Ambassador for Peace and a great lover of nature, did much to assist the youth: he accommodated the group for a night, drove them to the work site, and joined in cleaning the area.
Participants filled more than 30 bags of garbage and decided to return in May to build a new trash container on the left slope of the peak.
