Buenos Aires, Argentina - UPF-Argentina's Peace Council held a Charity Dinner on July 6; it was a pleasant time of brotherhood and good music to raise funds to carry on different activities and initiatives under the slogan with which UPF-Argentina began this year: "Where there is a will, there is a way."

The meeting, which took place at the headquarters of the Family Federation in Buenos Aires, began with welcoming remarks and an invocation by Pastor Eduardo Corales. Over dessert, Miguel Werner, Secretary General of UPF-Argentina, made reference to the consultation seminar that took place in June in Panama on "Regional cooperation for peace and development in Latin America and the Caribbean." At the end, he presented a short video of the different types of activities of UPF around the world, encouraging all to be peacemakers and change agents.
Then, a varied repertoire of music came. The youth band Origin opened with melodic songs, a duo consisting of Roberto Ferreyra and Juan Manuel Ferreyra (father and son) continued with an instrumental performance with vocalist Carlos Picazo, and at the end there was a surprise: the virtuoso guitarist Raul "Nony" Ressia.
Carlos Varga, Director of the Unification Movement in Argentina and meeting host, and Dr. Luis Guedes, Argentina's representative on UPF's Global Peace Council, spoke. The finale was a raffle in charge of Ambassador for Peace Orfa Pérez Chávez as another way to generate funds; the guests won books, jewelry boxes, music CDs, a movie, Peruvian pins, and other souvenirs.
