Paris, France - Mr. Joël Alodjinou recently came back from Togo, in West Africa, where he inaugurated a school for 150 students in Lébé Nyamadji in the Zio prefecture (22 kms. from the capital, Lomé). His association, Aiaped-Togo, based in France, mobilized the entire village gaining their cooperation in the project. Aiaped-Togo finances the teachers, the school uniforms and all of the operating expenses of the school. Two kindergarten and one first-grade classes were created. One new class will be created each year, eventually offering a complete primary school education to the town's children.
In the village of Djablé (18 kms. from Lomé) a training center for young orphan girls to learn fashion design was also established.
Through these projects, Mr. Alodjinou also has the goal of showing that it is possible, even with limited finances, to initiate very useful projects.
The active support of his wife, Charlotte, has been constant and remarkable. Their desire as Ambassadors for Peace is that Aiaped-Togo be available to help the Togolese people living abroad develop also such projects in their home villages. For more information contact Mr. Joël Alodjinou by
