Health for Peace Initiative Launched in Nigeria

Abuja, Nigeria - UPF-Nigeria launched a Health for Peace Initiative at the National Merit Award House on Nov. 12, 2014, to engage professionals from the health sector to build upon the recent response to the Ebola virus disease spread to ensure the prevention of further spread of the virus in Nigeria as well as contribute to building a peaceful Nigeria nation by 2020.
The meeting brought together about 40 health care professionals who deliberated on the initiative, which also featured the presentation of the happy health neurostablizer machine.
Goodwill messages were presented by Prof. C.U. Abengowe, OON of the National Hospital in Abuja, and Ozigis A. Abdulsalam, deputy director of NAFDAC, FCT office, and Dr. A.N. Onuoha of the Gwarinpa General Hospital, among others.
