Moscow, Russia—UPF co-sponsored a football tournament for 110 youths in the south of Moscow.
The tournament was held on April 15, 2023, in honor of Cosmonautics Day, a Russian commemorative day. UPF organized the event together with the Brateyevo children's youth football league.
Eight teams whose members were born in 2010-2011 took part in the celebratory cup. Most of the teams represented the Moscow region, but a few teams came from neighboring regions, including the Gorshechnoye UPF team from the Kursk region, which was supported by the World Peace Federation.
The history of cooperation and partnership between the Brateyevo football league and UPF began in 2010, when several tournaments were held under the motto "Play Football for Peace" and the best teams traveled to Estonia to participate in the international tournament.
