Lima, Peru—UPF-Peru’s second Peace Road event of 2019 was marked by its participation in the 19th Cuetina Marathon. The marathon, having more than 500 participants, was organized by the Carlos Cueto Fernandini Technological Institute, with the active participation and sponsorship of UPF-Peru.
Under the direction of Dr. Trevor Jones, president, UPF-Peru was represented by Mr. Jaime Fernandez, secretary general. He was accompanied by a delegation of Ambassadors for Peace.
Dr. Alejandrino Ramirez Castillo, Ambassador for Peace and director of the Carlos Cueto Fernandini Technological Institute, said that the goal of the event was to promote sports in the district of Comas district of Lima. The motto "Practice Sports, Win Health" expressed the heart of endeavor.
The participants departed from the Urb. San Fellipe, at the front of the Carlos Cueto Fernandini Institute and traveled 8 kilometers. At the Awards Ceremony, presents, trophies and recognition diplomas were given to the winners.
