Moscow, Russia - The National Council of Youth and Children's Associations of Russia, with support of the Russian Federation Ministry of Sports, Tourism and Youth Affairs, held a meeting in Moscow of youth leaders to promote cooperation among youth in the Barents Sea region October 15-17. The Barents Sea is part of the Arctic Ocean bordering on northern Norway and northwest Russia.
The goals are to develop bilateral and multilateral cooperation among public youth organizations of the Barents region. The program of the meeting consisted of several sessions. On the first day, there was a plenary session for all the participants in the Civic Chamber of Russian Federation.
Representatives of youth organizations from northern parts of Russia and Moscow, and representatives of the National Councils of Norway and Finland attended the meeting. The second block of the program consisted of informal training sessions and working out a joint plan of action.
