Kathmandu, Nepal - The Universal Peace Federation and its affiliate organization, the Youth Federation for World Peace (YFWP) acknowledged Santosh Shah, the publisher and editor of Today’s Youth Asia magazine as Youth Ambassador for Peace on March 1, 2008 in Kathmandu, Nepal.
The Youth Federation for World Peace is a global alliance of young leaders and youth-related organizations dedicated to building world peace and harmony. Together with individuals, NGOs, businesses, government agencies, and the United Nations, YFWP works on critical issues to realize the dream of one global family of interdependence, mutual prosperity, and universally shared values.
In light of this, Santosh was recognized for his contribution to youth and his work that aims to instill Nepalese youths with positive ideas and skills and provide capacity-building in order to promote young people's active contribution to this nation in crisis. He also works as the South Asian Correspondent for SCOLA Television, headquarters based in Iowa (USA). Recently he was also appointed a Youth Leader at the Asia-Pacific Leadership Forum by UNAIDS to work towards raising awareness about HIV/AIDS in Nepal.
Receiving the title of Youth Ambassador for Peace is a huge responsibility, Santosh will continue his contributions towards the fulfillment of universal harmony and empowering youth to work for noble humanitarian causes.
