Budapest, Hungary - The Global Peace Tour 2009 arrived in Hungary on March 12. There were only two and a half weeks to prepare everything, including arranging meetings with current political and religious leaders, inviting 150 or more people to the main event and of course organizing the whole process in the context of a busy European schedule with one peace tour event every day.
The main program turned out to be very successful. Two current Members of Parliament, two former government ministers, and 50 Hungarian Ambassadors for Peace were among almost 200 people who came to the event at the Budapest Hilton.
The Master of Ceremonies was Prof. Tomas Foldesi, Vice President of UPF-Hungary. The invocation was offered by an Ambassador for Peace, Mr. Hetenyi, and Mrs. Zsuzsa Lestak, a member of the Global Peace Council introduced UPF-Europe Chairman Dr. Yong Cheol Song. Welcoming remarks were offered by Dr. Arpad Gogl, MP, and musical performances was offered by the Doctors' Musician Federation.
