Peace Tour Connects with Afghan Youth

Kabul, Afghanistan - On May 17 UPF-Afghanistan organized a Global Peace Tour 2009 event at the Sitara Hotel. Fifty people attended, including the Deputy Minister of Culture, Ambassadors for Peace, Youth Ambassadors for Peace, social activists, directors of educational centers and youth leaders.

A major focus for this event was to announce the Global Peace Tour and other activities UPF is carrying out in the world centered on Dr. Sun Myung Moon and his family in order to bring world peace.

Several people shared their messages of peace, including three Japanese delegates from the Women's Federation for World Peace. Their beautiful songs warmed the hearts of the participants.

Ambassadors for Peace and Youth Ambassadors for Peace reported on their activities during the past months. People were especially inspired by the work of the Youth Ambassadors for Peace. Another special part of the event was the demonstration of Tong-Il Moo-Do martial arts by Master Bernard with one of his assistants.

The closing remarks were given by Mrs. Assifi, encouraging the Youth Ambassadors for Peace to keep working actively for the process of peace in this nation and the world.
