Peace Tour Inaugurates UPF in Denmark
Copenhagen, Denmark - Dr. and Mrs. Sun Myung Moon arrived in Denmark for the inauguration of the Universal Peace Federation at the Marriott Hotel. The Grand Ballroom was filled to overflowing with more than 500 guests including a number of international visitors.
The introduction to Father Moon was given by Professor Bertil Persson, who gave a very deep and moving introduction to Father Moon’s life and the significance of his message.
The audience responded very warmly to Father Moon’s peace message with frequent interruptions of applause. This encouraged him to continue to speak for more than four hours! Among other impromptu messages shared along with the reading of the speech, he pointed out the intriguing fact that the three West European countries that he was able to visit on this tour all have one thing in common: they are monarchies with ruling queens.
The event included an invitation for couples to join in a world peace blessing toast of marriage rededication.
The following day Father and Mother Moon invited all the volunteers to join on a boat ride in the canals of Copenhagen. It was a most beautiful experience!
