Over 80 guests including Ambassadors for Peace and ministers of government, old friends and new contacts gathered at the Garraway Hotel in Roseau, Dominica, to hear the UPF peace message.
The program began with opening remarks by emcee, Ms. Irma Lafond-Joseph, and was followed by the invocation and the singing of the National Anthem. Minister for Public Works and Public Utilities and member of Parliament, Hon. Ambrose George, gave welcome remarks. He praised the work of the UPF and offered his support. Hon. Matthew Walter, Minister of Community Development, Information and Gender Affairs, stated in his welcome remarks that the intentions and the work of UPF and its staff in Dominica and around the world were genuine and honest and were to be applauded and given full support.
After a brief introduction, Ms. Shiori Kunitoki, part of the third generation of the family of UPF founders Rev. and Mrs. Sun Myung Moon, gave the peace message. She gave the address in clearly-spoken English and impressed the guests with her youthful charm, gracious beauty, and warm smile. Over 50 Ambassador for Peace certificates were presented.
