Nairobi, Kenya - A host of guests waving flags and singing traditional songs greeted Rev. Chung Hwan Kwak, chair of UPF, who came to Kenya to give the keynote peace message for the World Peace Tour. Participants were registering for the conference as Pambo Africa, a musical group, was singing songs of peace, love, and unity at the convocation hall.

The convocation was opened by Master of Ceremonies Mr. Fredrick Wakhisi, Secretary General of UPF-Kenya. The invocation was offered by Archbishop Filatheous Faraj, an Orthodox Church leader in Sudan. Dr. Thomas Walsh invited couples to join in a world peace blessing toast of marriage rededication.

Special remarks about the activities of Dr. and Mrs. Sun Myung Moon were given by three distinguished Ambassadors for Peace. These included Hon. Hussein Aideed, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Internal Security of Somali; Rt. Rev. Eng. Caleb Olali, Archbishop of the Nomiya Church of Africa; and Ms. Nazlin Umar Rajput, Chair of the National Muslim Council of Kenya.

Rev. Kwak read the keynote address and awarded Leadership and Good Governance certificates to eight representatives: Archbishop Filatheous Faraj, Cardinal Guya, H.E. Meeland, Prof. G.E.M. Ogutu, Hon. Eng. Hussein, Rtd. Gen. Faisal Barri, Most Rev. Daniel Kimile Kimanzi, and Most Rev. Moses Aseri.

Prof. Ogutu delivered an electrifying tribute to Father and Mother Moon in his closing remarks and challenged participants to open their minds and hearts to understand their mission of bringing peace.
