| | Young Palestinians and Israelis Forge Paths of Peace | | Rome, Italy - On September 1, a group of Israelis and Palestinians traveled together to northern and central Italy for ten days, seeking to develop new aspects of leadership. They traveled together to Bergamo, San Marino, Pesaro, Rimini, Ancona, Urbino, and Rome. Their time in Italy offered many opportunities for interaction among the Israelis and the Palestinians. Two senior participants, Dr. Azmi Abu-Soud and Dr. Shuki Ben Ami, served as guides and mentors to the Palestinian and the Israeli youth leaders.

The situation in the conflict zones of the South Caucasus remains tense and dangerous. It threatens international peace and security, and brings harm and suffering to the civilian population.
