Skopje, Macedonia - A seminar on "Education for Peace and Tolerance" took place September 26 and 27 at the First Private University Faculty of Social Studies in Skopje, Macedonia, in cooperation with Prof. Dr. Dimitar Mircev, Dean of the Faculty of Social Studies and an Ambassador for Peace. Professors, student organizations, and members of a Youth Education Forum were invited to participate.
The lectures were presented by the leader of UPF’s Balkan region, Rev. Jang Dug Bong, and Ms. Savijola Konja from Albania.
For the session on Interreligious Cooperation, representatives from religious groups in Macedonia were invited to share their points of view about how to solve misunderstandings among religious people.
Significant contributions to the seminar were made by Ambassadors for Peace Prof. Dr. Kiril Temkov, Ms. Biljana Dukovska, and Mr. Antonio Spasev. Prof. Dr. Zoja Katru, Mrs. Elena Nacevska, and nine students were appointed Ambassadors for Peace.
