Pristina, Kosovo—The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, received in a meeting the Chairman and the President of the Universal Peace Federation on November 24, 2021.
In this meeting, Dr. Katsumi Otsuka, Chairman of the Universal Peace Federation for Europe and the Middle East, and Dr. Jacques Marion, President of the Universal Peace Federation for Europe and the Middle East, congratulated the Prime Minister on the task, expressing confidence in his ability to successfully accomplish this task for Kosovo and its citizens.
The Prime Minister stressed the Government’s focus on economic growth and economic development as well as the intention to attract foreign direct investment. He informed them of the increase in tax revenues by about one-third and double-digit economic growth.
Speaking about the situation with the management of the pandemic, the Prime Minister informed them about the progress of the vaccination process. So far, over 64 percent of the population planned for vaccination have been vaccinated with one dose, while over 56 percent have been vaccinated with both doses.
They agreed that peace is becoming increasingly important, while emphasizing the importance of peace study by young people.
It was said that Kosovo, as a country that has experienced war, can send a strong message about how important peace is.
The Chairman and the President of the Universal Peace Federation announced that the Prime Minister of Cambodia will soon send an official invitation to Prime Minister Kurti for the next peace summit to be held in Seoul.
