Middle East Peace Initiative Program on Interfaith Dialogue and Cooperation

Jerusalem, Israel - A Middle East Peace Initiative program in Jerusalem brought together religious leaders, academics and NGO delegates with the theme of “Interfaith Dialogue and Cooperation for Peace and Development” beginning May 12, 2014. The schedule included stimulating and informative briefings on critical issues facing the Middle East and opportunities to visit the holy sites of the Old City and other important venues in Jerusalem.
Along with UPF, the Women’s Federation for World Peace co-sponsored this program in honor the tenth anniversary of the “Women of Peace” program in Jerusalem. An optional tour on May 13 featured a visit to Galilee and a a hospital that serves victims of the conflict in Syria.
