Tbilisi, Georgia - The first meeting of Ambassadors for Peace in the new year took place on February 12 in the office of the Foundation of Human Development. Its purpose was to review the results of the Universal Peace Federation projects in 2010 and discuss plans for 2011.
The meeting was opened by a presentation about the UPF peace initiatives aimed not only at post-conflict reconciliation and preventing new conflicts but also calling upon humanity to unite into one world family. There was a presentation of the autobiography of the UPF founder, Dr. Sun Myung Moon, As a Peace-Loving Global Citizen. Reports about UPF projects in Georgia were presented to the audience.
The participants resolved to prepare for the UPF Chairman Rev. Heung Jin Moon’s visit to the South Caucasus; offer educational programs about the World Peace Marriage Blessing; hold monthly meetings of Ambassadors for Peace and Young Ambassadors for Peace; promote the South Caucasus Peace Initiative; and develop productive partnerships with UN offices.
