UN International Day of Families 2010

Day of Families Celebrated in Zagreb

Zagreb, Croatia - On May 14 UPF hosted a seminar on the U.N. International Day of Families. Anto Tomas, Secretary General of UPF-Croatia, welcomed participants to the gathering in the European House in Zagreb. Topics included:
  • "The Family in History and Today," by Dr. Marko Tarle
  • "The Family During the Financial Crisis: Is it possible to have a good and happy family?  How?  Who can do it?" by Marije Živković
  • "The Problem of Inequality in the Family: How economic and other inequalities influence the family," by Tihomir Domazet, Ph.D.
  • "Increasing Family Solidarity: How solidarity is connected with family, why we need greater solidarity, how we experience solidarity," by Pastor Damir Šuper
  • "Family as the Gateway to Heaven: What are the biggest challenges in life?" by Miss Jolana Petrinić
