Castries, St. Lucia - I had the opportunity to speak on May 15 to speak about the International Day of Families on the DBS Television Evening News. The follow are excerpts of that message:

“The family is the place where the future citizens of the nation are raised: whether the nation produces emotionally balanced citizens or emotionally crippled citizens has a lot to do with the way they are raised in their families.”

“Friends, let’s mark this International Day of the Family by making a special effort throughout this week to love our family, our children, our relatives, let’s appreciate our neighbours and our community.”

"As parents, let’s embrace our children in a special way, let’s show them how much we appreciate them, let’s make them feel precious, let’s make time for them, this is the only way we can protect them from turning to drug, violence or crime.”
