UPF-Russia Hears Economist’s Views on Koreas

Moscow, Russia—A Russian economist with first-hand experience in both North and South Korea was interviewed for a UPF webinar.
Dr. Pavel Leshakov, who has been a consultant on economic issues to the Russian Embassies in both North and South Korea, was interviewed during the webinar "Modern Issues of the World Order in Northeast Asia," which was held on June 8, 2023, by the Russian chapter of UPF and its International Association for Peace and Economic Development (IAED).
UPF-Russia President Maria Nazarova was the moderator. Dr. Leshakov spoke about the prospects for trade and economic cooperation between Russia and the two Koreas, the prospects for unification on the Korean Peninsula, and many other issues.
The program was shown on the YouTube and Odnoklassniki Russian-language UPF pages. The article on Odnoklassniki was viewed 55,000 times, and the video was viewed 26,000 times. The YouTube video collected 10,000 impressions and 700 views. Four new subscribers joined the UPF-Russia social groups.
