Chork, Cambodia - After attending a family seminar in the capital last November the father of a young Ambassador for Peace invited UPF-Cambodia to hold a family seminar for the people in his village of Chork, in the Tako province in southern Cambodia. The May 9 program focused on strengthening the unity between husband and wife and between families and communities, to help ensure work-family balance, the theme of this year's UN International Day of Families.

In addition to UPF's presentations about marriage and family and an explanation about the World Peace Blessing, the seminar included opportunities for couples to role-play a variety of interactions, based on examples from the autobiography of UPF Founder Rev. Sun Myung Moon:
- Making apologies: "I hurt you and didn't love you enough."
- Expressing gratitude: "I deeply appreciate you for being my life partner."
- Expressing love: "I love you."
- Hugging each other
- Taking turns cutting each other's nails
- Taking turns washing each other's hands
May 9 is Royal Ploughing Day, an official Cambodian holiday. It is an ancient royal rite held in Cambodia and Thailand to mark the traditional beginning of the rice-growing seasion.
