Reykjavik, Iceland - In collaboration with the city of Reykjavik and many organizations, mainly national groups from countries around the world, UPF-Iceland participated in a parade followed by an exhibition at the town hall of Reykjavik on May 12.
Cultural diversity and tolerance was the theme of the day. However, with the permission of the organizers, UPF emphasized the UN International Day of Families.
The 30-minute march took the participants from Iceland’s biggest church to the town hall. Many hundreds of spectators watched and joined the march. Everybody enjoyed the event and wished that every day could be like this, when cultures show the best they have for the enjoyment of the larger human family.
