International Day of Families Observed in Malaysia

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia - The International Day of Families was observed at a program at Taman Rekreasi Bukit Jalil in Kuala Lumpur on May 18, 2014.
More than 100 people participated in the day's family-oriented outdoor activities, which included exercises and games for families, couples and children. The previous Sunday was celebrated as Mothers' Day in Malaysia, and a poem was read in honor of the mothers present.
Welcome remarks were delivered by YBhg Tan Sri Dr. Devaki Krishnan, president of UPF-Malaysia; The main emcee was Sudesh G. Supramaniam, deputy president of UPF-Malaysia; Rev. Yutaka Yamada, national director of the Family Federation for World Peace in Malaysia, delivered a message on the family.
