Bronx, USA–On May 29, twelve youth participated in a service project, organized by UPF-USA to commemorate the UN International Day of Families 2015, in Bronx Park East in New York city.
Mr. Jorge Cuello Espinosa, executive assistant at UPF-USA, coordinated the service project, the first for UPF-USA. Mr. Espinosa’s mother, Mrs. Luz Cuello, also assisted with the planning of the project.
The volunteers picked up leaves, litter and wooden sticks. People who were walking by commended the volunteers for their service work. Partnership for Parks outreach coordinator in the Bronx, Mrs. Ciara Gannon, was impressed by the number of garbage bags the volunteers had filled over three hours of service work.
At the end of the project, Mr. Espinosa thanked all the volunteers for their support.
