León, Nicaragua—Forty people attended the UPF celebration of the International Day of Families 2016 in Nicaragua.
On May 13, UPF, in partnership with the Chamber of Commerce of the city of León and the University of Commercial Sciences (Universidad de Ciencias Comerciales) held a panel on family values at the headquarters of the Family Federation for World Peace-Nicaragua, an affiliated organization.
Among the five panelists were Dr. Chang Shik Yang, a representative of UPF-Central America and the Caribbean, and Rev. Jorge Luiz de Oliveira, a representative of UPF-Nicaragua. Mr. Agustín Jarquín was the emcee.
The special guests were Mr. Jose Benito Rodriguez, president of the Chamber of Commerce of León; Mr. Miguel Vigil, president of the Cattlemen’s Association; Rev. Roberto Sarria, pastor of the Iglesia Centro Adoración Familiar, an evangelical church; and Mr. July Castillo, president of the Jesus is Alive association
