Caracas, Venezuela—UPF in partnership with the Collegiate Association for the Research of Principles (CARP), an affiliated organization, held an event to celebrate the International Day of Families 2016 at the Eurobuilding Hotel in Caracas on May 14.
Couples married for more than 10 years were honored with gold medals for their efforts to support the family institution.
In addition, UPF-Venezuela Secretary General, Rev. Jesús A. Navarro; CARP-Venezuela Director, Mr. Alejandro Rosillon; and Women’s Federation for World Peace (WFWP)-Venezuela President, Dr. María Gabriela Tomasini, spoke and emphasized that universal values are needed to solve the moral crises in Venezuela and the world.
At the end of the event, children from the WFWP-sponsored San Agustin music project performed a song, which all the 40 guests enjoyed.
