Albania Holds Marriage Blessing for 40 Couples

Tirana, Albania—Approximately 40 couples took part in an Interfaith Peace Blessing which was timed to coincide with the UN International Day of Families.
The event was organized by UPF together with the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification (FFWPU), an affiliated organization, on May 15, 2016, in the Tirana International Hotel. Approximately 215 people gathered in the main hall of the hotel to witness the ceremony.
The program started with a performance of singing and dancing by young members of FFWPU. After that, UPF Europe Regional Chair Jack Corley, who was also the officiator at the Blessing ceremony, gave a profound congratulatory message to all the participating couples.
Gabor and Manjola Vasmatics, acting as moderators for the program, explained the meaning of the Cosmic Blessing.
The participation of these couples in the Blessing ceremony was a demonstration of support for the traditional family, its incomparable values and the impact the family has on the whole nation when centered on God. It was also a beautiful example for the youth of Albania, and for the way our society and nation must develop and move forward.
