Uyo, Nigeria—About 40 children of Ambassadors for Peace marched in a parade and sang "peace songs" to celebrate the 2017 International Day of Families.
More than 230 invited guests attended the program, which was organized by the Nigerian chapters of UPF and the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification (FFWPU), an affiliated organization. The event took place on May 15 in the conference hall of the Governor’s Office Annex in Uyo, the capital of Akwa Ibom State.
As the Ambassadors for Peace Children’s Choir sang for their parents and other invited guests, they were applauded repeatedly.
UPF-Nigeria is developing a special initiative to bring together children of Ambassadors for Peace to study the UPF Peace Principles, so that they may be prepared to become future leaders in their families and communities.
