Brazil—On May 15, 2021, UPF-Brazil held a meeting of Ambassadors of Peace to appoint new Ambassadors for Peace and to commemorate the 2021 UN International Day of Families.
To promote a culture of peace, strengthen unity among Ambassadors for Peace and appoint new ambassadors, UPF held the event online through the Zoom platform. The Zoom room was attended by 55 people. The event was also broadcast on YouTube and retransmitted by the TV Channel Network and the TVN network.
The event's emcee was Rev. Wallison Delano, pastor and UPF representative in the Federal District-Brasilia, who in his words of welcome thanked everyone present, emphasizing the global work of UPF in promoting the culture of peace since its creation.
The presentation of the National Anthem of Brazil was made by Major Hardalesson de Araujo. Ms. Eliza Ferreira, from UPF’s Public Relations Department, thanked everyone for their presence, showing great satisfaction in finding people who share the same will and mission for the purpose of building peace.
Dr. Simão Ferabolli, Secretary General of UPF-South America, presented the UPF Principles of Peace and the Ambassadors for Peace, emphasizing the mission of Ambassadors for Peace. He also spoke about the celebration of International Day of Families.
Representing the Ambassadors for Peace, Vera Tabach, President of the Brazilian Association of Print and Electronic Media, spoke about the importance of the work of UPF and the Ambassadors for Peace.
Then Dr. Simão handed over the title of Ambassadors for Peace to nine personalities, recognizing their good achievements for society.

To each nominee was given the opportunity to speak a few words. Then, Suely Buriasco talked about the theme of the International Day of Families.
