Tbilisi, Georgia—UPF-Georgia conducted an online celebration of 2021 UN International Day of Families.
The nearly 30 participants of the May 15 webinar included representatives of NGOs, schoolteachers and students from all regions of the country.
Maka Abugbaia, the chair of UPF-Georgia, gave the opening remarks, in which she spoke about the importance of the family in people’s lives and in society.
The main speaker was Nika Gablishvili, a consultant, psychologist, and trainer, who spoke about the challenges of relationships among family members, especially among generations.
Numerous questions from the audience were presented to Mr. Gablishvili. These included: practical steps on overcoming challenges between parents and children; how teachers can help parents; how to achieve harmonious relationships in the family; how to prepare for marriage. Participants had the opportunity to express their thoughts and ask questions directly to the speaker, so the webinar became very interactive.
At the end of the program, the participants thanked the speaker for his professional answers and UPF for organizing the webinar on such an important topic.
