UPF-Uruguay Ambassadors for Peace Celebrate International Day of Families

Montevideo, Uruguay—UPF-Uruguay held a meeting of Ambassadors for Peace in commemoration of the International Day of Families in the conference room of the Uruguay National Garden, a national historic monument on May 21, 2022.
The emcee was Mrs. Daniela Felibert, president of YSP Uruguay. Opening remarks were given by Mr. Raúl Rey, president of UPF Uruguay.
Four special guests, leaders from different religious spheres, shared with us their thoughts on the fundamental theme of this International Day of Families: “The role played by the Family as a primordial School of Love and a place where the practices of Peace and Social Dialogue begin.”
- Dr. Sima Baher, Bahá’í Community of Uruguay
- Imam Yousaf Khan, missionary of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in Uruguay
- Mr. Martin Orlando, president of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
- Rev. Kazuhiro Tsusaka, president of FFWPU-Uruguay
Then, 12 couples who had been married more than 25 years were recognized with a Diploma of Honor.
