Caracas, Venezuela - A seminar on Marriage, Family, and Society took place at the President Hotel in Caracas on Dec. 15, 2011, calling attention to World AIDS Day. The World Health Organization invites people around the world to raise awareness of HIV/AIDS on World AIDS Day, Dec. 1, and demonstrate international solidarity in the face of the pandemic.

Mr. Jesus Navarro, Secretary General of UPF-Venezuela, welcomed the participants and introduced Daniel Gonzalez Delli, a UPF youth leader from Caracas, who gave the opening presentation on the Family, School of Incorruptible Citizens. His presentation was followed by a message from Ambassador for Peace Dr. Dinorah Figuera, a Member of the National Assembly and President of its Family Committee.
According to 2008 figures released by WHO, there are currently 33.4 million people affected by HIV. This seminar on strengthening marriage and family and HIV/AIDS prevention was part of UPF's Marriage and Family Initiative.
Dr. Maria Gabriela Tomasini, President of the Women's Federation of World Peace-Venezuela, gave the final presentation, entitled Marriage Preparation, Benefits, and Keys to Success.
The program closed with the presentation of an Ambassador for Peace certificate to Dr. Alejandro Piñango, Dean of the Psychology Faculty at UPEL University.
