Buenos Aires, Argentina—UPF-Argentina participated in an event co-organized by the UN in Argentina and the art program of the Ministry of Environment and Public Spaces of the government of Buenos Aires city to commemorate UN Day and highlight the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The program took place on October 25, 2017 at the Filii Dei School in the Barrio 31 neighborhood in Buenos Aires city.
Representatives of civil society organizations were invited to take part in and show paperboards summarizing the 17 SDGs at the event. Attending the event were Ambassadors for Peace Mrs. María Helena Rodríguez Sivera, Mr. César Sanabria, and Mr. Juan Domingo Romero, and UPF-Argentina secretary general, Mr. Miguel Werner.
Graphic designer Pum Pum presented a mural she painted for the UN SDGs. Next to her artwork hung a poster of the SDGs.
Every year, UN Day is celebrated on October 24, which marks the anniversary of the entry into force in 1945 of the UN Charter.
