New York, USA—In partnership with UPF-International, the White Garment Church, the Moses Orimolade University, and the Esther Ajayi Foundation organized a meeting on May 29, 2019, in the Delegates Dining Room at the UN Headquarters to promote selfless giving as a foundation for peace.
H.E. Tijjani Muhammad Bande, candidate to become the president of the 2019 General Assembly of the United Nations, gave remarks affirming the importance of living a life that is compassionate and principled. The founder of the Esther Ajayi Foundation, Rev. Mother Esther Abimbola Ajayi, spoke about her worldwide campaign to inspire others to live moral and ethical lives, faithful to God and in service of others. Dr. Taj Hamad, vice president of UPF, addressed the problem of violent extremism and called for the establishment of an interfaith council at the United Nations as a substantial step toward learning to live for the sake of others and building sustainable peace.
Other speakers were Prophet Dr. Solomon Adegboyega Aklao Olori, head of Cherubim and Seraphim Unification; Pastor Emmanuel Oshoffa, Celestial Church of Christ Worldwide; and Professor S. A. Sanni, chairman of the proposed Moses Orimolade University.
