Moscow, Russia—UPF-Russia held a conference titled "Education Today: New Challenges and Prospects."

The webinar was a project of the International Association of Academicians for Peace (IAAP), a UPF constituent association. The event was held on January 25, 2021, in recognition of the United Nations’ International Day of Education (celebrated each year on January 24) and the fourth UN Sustainable Development Goal: Quality Education.

The speakers discussed how quality education and new digital approaches can contribute to the successful implementation of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development agenda.

Many speakers stressed that education is a key factor in achieving all 17 Sustainable Development Goals. Goal 4, in particular, seeks to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and to promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.

There were many questions from the participants who followed online from different cities, including on social networks.
