Human Rights Day Observed in Burkina Faso

Boussé, Burkina Faso - A conference commemorating UN Human Rights Day took place at the House of Youth in Bousse on Dec. 14, 2013 on the theme of "The role of family education in promoting human rights and lasting peace."
Among the 120 participants were a representative of the Minister of Human Rights and Civic Promotion, the high commissioner and secretary general of the province of Kourweogo, the prefect of the department of Bousse, and the mayors of Bousse, Niou and Fayeghin. Forty-five people were appointed Ambassadors for Peace.
The conference was organized by Ambassador for Peace M. Alexis Telesphore Bagre, a journalist and former mayor of Bousse.
