London, UK - Unificationists and UPF Ambassadors for Peace alike shared how they had been touched by the life of Father Sun Myung Moon in a September 30 Memorial Service in a London venue where he had spoken more than 35 years before. Six hundred people gathered to celebrate the life of Father Moon.

Buenos Aires, Argentina - La UPF Argentina celebró el Día Internacional de la Paz, como es habitual cada 21 de septiembre, este año bajo el lema “Una paz duradera para un futuro sustentable”, con un encuentro artístico-cultural-interreligioso realizado en el Salón Auditorio del Colegio Champagnat, de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires.
Buenos Aires, Argentina - “Es tiempo ya…” y “Para la paz es esta poesía”, de Irma Droz (Santa María de Punilla - Provincia de Córdoba) y Raúl Oscar Ifrán (Punta Alta – Provincia de Buenos Aires), respectivamente, comparten el Primer Premio de la cuarta edición del Concurso Poético Internacional, que tuvo como lema “Palabras de encuentro y conciencia universal”, organizado por la UPF Argentina en adhesión al Día Internacional de la Paz.
Rev. Dr. Sun Myung Moon, founder of the Universal Peace Federation, died on September 3 in South Korea. He was 92. He passed away at 1:54 a.m. local time from complications of pneumonia, surrounded by family, friends, and followers. More than 300 UPF Ambassadors for Peace made the long journey to Korea to attend the memorial services for Father Moon on Sept. 15, 2012.
Rev. Sun Myung Moon, the international religious leader and founder of the Unification Church and the Universal Peace Federation was laid to rest on September 15 in a series of moving ceremonies held in the mountainous countryside just outside Seoul that Father Moon loved so much in life.

Kathmandu, Nepal - A thousand oil lamps were lit in honor of Dr. Sun Myung Moon’s life on September 9 in Swoyambyol, at one of the oldest and most famous Buddhist temples in Nepal. Venerable Khenpo Sangye Kalsang, Principal and Director of the Buddha Dharma Center in Swoyambyo, led the ceremony of lighting 1,000 lamps, chanting, and prayers, which was conducted in great respect for Father Moon’s interreligious activities and education throughout the world.
Cheongpyeong, Korea - Korean government officials and Members of Congress were among the first visitors to pay their respects on September 6 to the Rev. Dr. Sun Myung Moon, who died September 3 and whose body lies in a memorial chapel at the Cheon Jeong Goong (Peace Palace) in the mountains east of Seoul.
