London, UK - A unique and special 'Legacy of Peace' event commemorated the life and work of notable Ambassadors for Peace within a one-day conference on June 7 examining 'Forgiveness and Reconciliation.' In attendance were people from all faith backgrounds and leaders and pioneers in interfaith.
Helsinki, Finland - UPF-Finland honored three distinguished Finnish individuals in addition to the five international figures at the Legacy of Peace event in Helsinki on June 6. H.E. Mr. Harry Purwanto, Ambassador of Indonesia to Finland, attended the event and acknowledged the respect that the late president of Indonesia, Abdurrahman Wahid, showed to UPF Founder Rev. Sun Myung Moon.
Vienna, Austria - A Memorial Festival of Ascension and Unity was held in Vienna on June 6 at the Headquarters of the Unification Movement of Austria. The photographs of the people who were honored were arranged beautifully on the decorated stage. They included four statesmen representing the international community.
