Tbilisi, Georgia - Children in school #136 in the capital of Georgia received gifts on Nov. 27, 2009, sent by school children from the Urals region of Russia as part of a project to build bonds between the people of the neighboring countries.

UPF's South Caucasus Peace Tour in December included a variety of events and conferences in Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Georgia that addressed various ideological and interreligious conflicts in the region.
Tbilisi, Georgia - The Georgia Peace Festival on December 7 provided opportunities for neighboring peoples in the Caucasus Mountains south of Russian to learn about their diverse people and cultures.
On December 7, 2008, a “Peace Run” was organized by UPF-Georgia with the support of visiting Russian Ambassador for Peace Eduard Yakovlev, President of the International Super-marathon Association. About 150 people took part, including 18 handicapped people.
Tbilisi, Georgia - Orphans and displaced Abkhazia children participated in arts, games, contests, and sports during a day dedicated to peace.
The Eurasian Peace Council of the Universal Peace Federation calls upon the sides of the conflict involving Georgia, Abkhazia, South Ossetia, and Russia, to comply with the commitments outlined in the “Dmitry Medvedev – Nicolas Sarkozy peace plan” and agreed with the leadership of Georgia.
On February 9-12, 2008 UPF held a World Peace Summit in Seoul, Korea. The Eurasian delegation was represented by 25 participants from Azerbaijan, Belarus, Estonia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Lithuania, Moldova, Mongolia, Peoples Republic of China, Russia and Ukraine.
Georgia - Five hundred delegates packed the Tbilisi State Conservatory Grand Hall, sometimes called the "Carnegie Hall of Tbilisi," for the inauguration of the Universal Peace Federation in Georgia.
