St. Petersburg, Russia - People from Russia, Estonia and Latvia assembled iat the House of Writers near St. Petersburg for a Religious Youth Service project Jan. 24-27, 2012, helping clean the building and visiting religious sites in the area.

Bratislava, Slovakia - UPF Slovakia organized a special event in Bratislava on Dec. 19, 2011 to commemorate the end of Communism in the Soviet Union on Dec. 25, 1991, when the Communist Party was abolished.

Washington, DC, USA - On Dec. 14, 2011, the UPF Office of Peace and Security Affairs convened its inaugural roundtable meeting in Washington, DC on “Regional Perspectives of the Korean Peninsula 
after the November Asian Summits.”

Anse-la-Raye, St. Lucia - UPF-St. Lucia hosted 17 members of the Generation Peace Academy who came from the United States to Anse-la-Raye in November 2011 to spend three weeks repairing homes along the beach and teaching classes at the local primary school.

Polonnaruwa, Sri Lanka - In a village that suffered some of the most brutal fighting of the Sri Lanka civil war, Religious Youth Service brought 43 people from four religious traditions to help build a community center as part of a service-learning project from December 16-22.

Auckland, New Zealand - UPF-New Zealand held its end-of-year function on December 3. The program began in the garden at the Parnell Peace Embassy with an opening prayer by Ambassador for Peace Rev. Rob Mckay followed by a barbecue dinner. Then people moved into the main room of the Peace Embassy for musical entertainment and a program.
