Summary translation of a newspaper article by an Albanian journalist who attended the Women's Federation for World Peace Assembly
New York, USA, August 4-6, 2011

The Women’s Federation for World Peace (WFWP) organized their three-day annual assembly for women leaders and members of WFWP for the work of building communities of peace for women and families.

Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, the founder of the WFWP, promotes the idea of “the Logic of Love” which Dr. Moon encourages women to practice in the midst of this difficult time of history.  Only the power of love can bring peace to our families and society. Women must become models and implements for building a world of peace. For this reason, she founded the Women’s Federation for World Peace.

Angelika Selle, President of WFWP-USA, welcomed women from different states to attend this important assembly. She said "You are here to bring your wisdom and experience.  Our mission is open to everyone, and we encourage dialogue and the exchange of ideas for building a world of peace. We are here to share what is good and positive with everybody.  Let’s transform this world for the better."

Rev. In Jin Moon, the second daughter of Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, warmly greeted all participants. Her sincere and heartfelt speech touched participants by sharing her personal life and how she has raised her three sons and one daughter through home schooling.  Her daughter is a pianist and an excellent ballroom dancer.

Among the other speakers were Brenda Blackmon, Anchorwoman from Channel 9, New York City, and talk show host Nia Lyte.

These are accomplished women in their professional fields who spoke openly about their personal life and shared how their lives were enriched in difficult times through keeping their faith in God.

Albania, where I am from, is not accustomed to the sharing of one’s personal life in the public arena. This was refreshing experience.
