Dr. and Mrs. Sun Myung Moon arrived in Mongolia to a red-carpet welcome. The road was lined with 3,000-4,000 young Mongolians cheering and waving flags and banners.
RYS Hosts an Interreligious Service Project in Mongolia

Mongolia— The participants and leaders of this project came from the diverse religious backgrounds of Islam, Buddhism and Christianity. The work consisted of constructing a wall at the local Buddhist temple, and remaking the interior of the local Islamic mosque. Both were completed with satisfactory success.

Mongolia's foreign policy towards Northeast Asia can be depicted at two levels: bilateral and regional. At the bilateral level, Mongolia has been concerned with specific gains in relations with individual countries like Russia, China, Japan, U.S. and South Korea for economic and security benefits. After more than a decade Mongolia has accomplished a lot in its bilateral relations with the countries of Northeast Asia.
RYS Holds Asia Friends Project in Western Mongolia

Bayan-Ulgii, Western Mongolia—The 3rd RYS project in Mongolia focused on promoting cooperation between the Muslim and Buddhist population in Bayan Ulgii, located in the Western part of the country.
RYS Helps Construction of a Kindergarten in Mongolia

Ulan Bator, Mongolia—RYS helped on the construction of a 2-story kindergarten (for about 40 children) in a poor and remote area of Ulan Bator. Participants also did light construction work (with wood, cement and paint) inside and around the building, creating an outdoor toilet, making various toys for the children.
Japanese Participants Has Meaningful Experience at a Religious Youth Service Project in Mongolia

Ulan Bator, Mongolia—In late August, thirty-five RYS participants trekked to the intriguingly beautiful nation of Mongolia. Participants worked in two teams in Ulan Bator with the first helping on the repairs of a monastery. A second work site was at a school where participants helped build a small playground, construct a toilet, painted and landscaped the school grounds.
