Global Day of Parents Observed in Lima

Lima, Peru - The UPF Peace Embassy was filled with guests to celebrate the first Global Day of Parents. UPF and the Family Federation for World Peace worked together for this event, and a number of parents and families were given awards in recognition of their lives of dedication to their families and their communities. Alfonso Lopez Sotelo and his wife, Dolores Balcona Neyra, have built a large house where three generations live together, and they have also established a very successful family business. Other couples honored included Jaime Fernandez Tupac and Dehlia Flores Fernandez, and Alberto Florido Sanchez and Slavia Costa Florido.
