Matagalpa, Nicaragua - In the hall of the Commercial Science University in the city of Matagalpa, about 130 guests among them students, teachers, and administrative staff, attended the UPF's May 25 program in honor of the Global Day of Parents, putting emphasis on the resolution of the United Nations in honor of all the parents of the world.

The event developed in a very harmonious way. Lic. Ivania Toruno, former Minister of the Family, gave some introductory words and then the local representative of the UPF, Rev. Jorge de Oliveira, gave a lecture. In the presentation, the emphasis was placed on the importance of parents caring for their children and the foundation that the parents play in the formation of the character of the future generations in view of world peace.

The activity concluded by calling the attention of the people to the resolution of the United Nations promoting parents as the essential factor for a good society.
