Korolyovo, Belarus - The Global Day of Parents was celebrated in Korolyovo in the Minsk Region with a family outing on June 1. More than 200 people took part the event.
The program included stories, songs, dancing, and games. Five families took part in the competition, and each of them won acclaim and received a prize. The local people were very inspired with event and actively took part in various contests.
This was the first event in Belarus in celebration of the Global Day of Parents. The Belarus Peace Fund and UPF-Eurasia made an agreement to hold Global Day of Parents events next year in the cities of Vitebsk and Orsha in partnership with regional administrations.
The outing was organized by two nongovernmental organizations, "Family World" and "Altera," representatives of the Women's Federation for World Peace of Belarus and Russia, and the local administration.
